The General Insurance Company Makes Changes

TheTo: Permanent General & Cloverleaf Insurance Customers

It is my pleasure to announce exciting news about your auto insurance company. Effective

January 2, 2013, Permanent General and its affiliated companies will begin operating as ‘The

General’®. Our new logo is shown at the top of this letter.

We think having this single brand throughout all aspects of our operations will be less confusing

for our customers. Consumers have gotten to know and trust The General® brand more and

more as we have expanded our national ad campaign. We have become a household name

throughout the country.

This change only impacts the appearance of the various forms and documents you receive from

us relating to your policy. You do not have to make any changes.

Until January 2, we will be preparing for our new appearance by performing a number of changes

which include the following:

• Transitioning our output to reflect The General® brand. This is starting now and will

continue into 2013 due to state filing requirements.

• Introducing The General® branding on stationary, letterhead, envelopes, etc.

• On January 2, 2013, answering our phones as The General® and will have most of our

customer-facing changes completed by that day.

If you have any questions about the changeover to The General® brand, please contact our

customer service department at 1-800-530-5822.

Thank you for your patience through this transition.
